Latest News 24/10/2007 Plans are progressing well for events during 2008, we now have plans for The Phil Bennett Celebration Golf Day at his home town course of MacHynys in Llanelli hopefully in early June 2008. We are also pleased to announce that Owen's Logistics, Kooga Rugby and the Grogg Shop have all agreed to be supporters of the year, more info TBC. We are preparing a celebration brochure and already have some fantastic articles from the likes of Willie John Mcbride, Fergus Slattery, Jonathan Davies, Martin Johnson, Snooker player Terry Griffiths, Footballer Trevor Francis, Wales Football Team Manager John Toshack and many more on the way, to support the brochure with an advert please download a booking form here............
26/10/2007 As with Gareth Edwards in 2007 the World Of Groggs will be contributing towards Phil's special anniversary by creating a new Action Limited Edition of the Lions, Wales, Barbarian and Llanelli Fly Half legend. Based on the dramatic sidesteps which launched the 'Greatest try of all', Barbarians V New Zealand 1973, the figure will breakdown into 60 Welsh, 10 Barbarian, 10 Lions and 10 Llanelli. Numbers 1 and 10 of these Limited Editions being reserved for Phil's celebratory events during the year 2008. If you are interested in any of the remaining figures please let us know ASAP as the numbers are very low and sure to be keenly sought after. The Barbarian figure will be inscribed with the legendary Cliff Morgan commentary quotation " Phil Bennett, chased by Alistair Scown - Brilliant - Oh Brilliant!"
